Editorial Disclosure

This page explains how content on PropTaxCalcPro is produced and what interests, if any, stand behind it. Last reviewed October 2026.

How content is made

Content is reviewed by Numerlyn LLC before it is published. Calculator logic is tested against hand-worked examples before each release, and the inputs and outputs are described on the methodology page.

Sources

When a page states a rate, limit, deadline or rule, we aim to tie it to an official or primary source, such as the IRS, a state department of revenue or comptroller, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, or the Census Bureau, and to give the year. When we cannot verify a figure, we leave it out or word it generally and point you to the right office. Sample numbers used in worked examples are labeled as illustrations and are not real rates for a real place.

Examples and illustrations

Worked examples use round, illustrative numbers such as a $285,000 home and an 18.5 mill rate. They are chosen so the arithmetic is easy to follow, not because they describe a real jurisdiction. Where we cite a real figure, we give its source and year. Real statewide averages, such as the 2024 effective rates from the Tax Foundation, are marked as averages.

Updates

Year-specific information, including federal deduction limits, is reviewed before publication and is dated in the text. Because laws change, a figure that was right on the review date may be out of date later, so confirm important numbers on the official site.

Corrections

If you believe something is wrong, email contactnumerlyn@gmail.com with the page and the source. We review corrections and update the page, and pages show when they were last reviewed where it matters.

Independence and money

The site has no active affiliate partnerships. We do not accept payment to change what an article says or how the calculator works. If advertising, such as Google AdSense, is enabled, ads are placed by the advertising service and are separate from our editorial content. We will update our Privacy Policy when that happens.

What this site is not

It is not a government site and is not affiliated with any assessor, tax collector or taxing authority. Estimates and articles are educational and are not tax or legal advice; see the Disclaimer.
